Center for Peace – Partner of the “Mostar 2025: Dialogue for the Future” Conference

Mostar - The Center for Peace and Multiethnic Cooperation in Mostar is proud to be one of the partners of the 2nd International Conference MOSTAR 2025: Dialogue for the Future, which was held on May 20, 2025, at the Hotel Mepas in Mostar, starting at 10:00 AM. This conference is part of our broader peace mission, carried out in cooperation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, and numerous other domestic and international partners.

The conference is being organized to mark the 20th anniversary of the inscription of the Old Bridge and the Old Town of Mostar on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This milestone symbolizes not only the restoration of cultural and historical heritage but also the enduring power of reconciliation, dialogue, and a shared future.

Last year’s conference, “MOSTAR 2024: Dialogue for the Future”, marked the 20th anniversary of the reconstruction of the Old Bridge, thereby establishing a tradition of hosting an annual international diplomatic event in Mostar aimed at strengthening cooperation, dialogue, and the European integration of the Western Balkans.

This year’s conference gathered numerous high-level guests – presidents, prime ministers, ministers, international and domestic decision-makers, representatives of UNESCO, cultural heritage experts, academics, civil society leaders and NGOs, youth, media representatives, and other participants.

The conference is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the support of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina member Dr. Denis Bećirović, the Government of the Federation of BiH, the City of Mostar, UNESCO, the UN Secretary-General’s Peacebuilding Fund (PBF), as well as UNDP, UNICEF, and RCC, within the joint initiative “Dialogue for the Future 3.” The Center for Peace and Multiethnic Cooperation in Mostar is one of the founders, key partners and hosts of this important international gathering. The official media partner of the conference is BHRT.
