Delegation from U.S.-Based Alder Group Visits Center for Peace in Mostar
Mostar, June 8, 2025 – A distinguished delegation from the U.S.-based nonprofit organization Alder visited the Center for Peace and Multiethnic Cooperation in Mostar today as part of their weeklong regional tour titled "War and Peace in the Balkans".
The guests were welcomed by Adnan Hasić, a representative of the Center for Peace, who presented the organization’s mission and internationally recognized work—ranging from multimedia documentation of the reconstruction of the Old Bridge, to reconciliation initiatives, and peacebuilding efforts in post-conflict societies.
The Alder delegation included Scott Olivet, Leyda Bequer, Sue Graham Johnston, Jamie Reid, Gabe Erle, Travis Trask, Jeff Baker, Lochlin B. Samples, Michelle Ginn, Matthew T. Auslam, Blake Stephens and Daniel Rubin.
The visit to Mostar is part of a broader regional itinerary that includes Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The goal is to deepen the group’s understanding of the region's history—particularly the causes and consequences of the wars of the 1990s—and to identify grassroots and institutional initiatives they may support through long-term engagement.
The Center for Peace is grateful to Alder for their interest and believes this visit marks the beginning of meaningful collaboration and potential international support for future peace and reconciliation projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
