CIEL (US) Visits the Center for Peace and Multi-Ethnic Cooperation in Mostar
Mostar, October 23, 2025 — The Center for International Experiential Learning (CIEL) from the United States visited the Center for Peace and Multi-Ethnic Cooperation in Mostar today as part of their Balkans 2025 educational program.
In the name of the Center, Mr. Adnan Hasić and Mrs. Asja Kljako hosted the delegation, presenting the Center’s long-term work on research, documentation, and preservation of wartime memories, as well as projects promoting dialogue and understanding among communities.
CIEL, based in Los Angeles, California, develops international learning programs that help participants explore post-conflict recovery, reconciliation, and social rebuilding in regions with complex histories.
The meeting in Mostar explored opportunities for joint research initiatives and long-term cooperation, with both sides emphasizing the importance of continuous international support in advancing peacebuilding and reconciliation efforts in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Held in Mostar – a city whose iconic Old Bridge stands as a symbol of connection, rebuilding, and the enduring human capacity to bridge divides – the visit served as a reminder of how memory and dialogue can inspire peace and mutual understanding.
The CIEL visit forms part of their regional program exploring post-conflict recovery and reconciliation processes across the Western Balkans.
